Halifax North Memorial Public Library
A beautiful space within the heart of Halifax' North End has become the gathering grounds for our weekly SHINE sessions. In addition to this space, the North End Memorial Public Library also provides SHINE with background checks for all of its tutors, as well as staff and library resources.
Sharky's Promotions
Our tutors and students truly operate as a team, and thanks to the generous donations from Sharky's Promotions, we look like one too! All program participants are given a SHINE t-shirt upon entering the program, dawning brilliant colour and our SHINE logo.

At SHINE Academics, we recognize the importance of valuing our students and all of their hard work. We also believe that it is essential to recognize the same value in our tutors, all of which are volunteers. To show our gratitude for the hard work and dedication of these incredible individuals, we hold an annual Tutor Appreciation Night. Thanks to Tony's Pizza, Stubborn Goat Gastropub, Chef Live, Scanway, and ela! Greek Taverna, we have been able to treat our tutors to some of Halifax' finest food.
